Mary started her career as a photographer with Architectural Digest under Paige Rense. She later started an personal Mary Finds section. It featured video clips on the home's renovation and decor after which she moved back to Texas and opened her business under the same name, and focus in restoring and furnishing antiques. As she was operating her antiques shop, she was discovered by an A&E Television producer who gave her the chance to be a guest on the Texas episode of Storage Wars. The show ran three seasons.
