In 1992, she earned her first big break by being a part of Basic Instinct as a supporting character. The Firm was the film that made her the main woman for the very first and only time. This was opposite Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman and many others. Over the course of the 1990s, Gwyneth worked with Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes as well as Julie Andrews for Relative Values.
